25’x28’. 659-691 Jackson Ave, Vancouver, BC (2023)
Commissioned by BC Housing

This colourful mural was part of a larger beautification project to create a healing mural and garden walkway for tenants to come rest, tend to their gardens, connect and share space, originated from the positivity and community spirit of Lorraine Holubowich. After leading community feedback and brainstorming sessions with the tenants and staff, we came up with this concept to honour how they see community being an ecosystem, much like how the nature around us is in relationship with one another. The mural design embodies a variety of plants, animals and geographical structures to show how while we are all unique, we each have valuable skills and talents to share with our communities.

Commissioned by BC Housing, specifically with support and collaboration from the People, Plants and Homes department.
